Accsys Technologies PLC is a fast-growing business with a purpose: changing wood to change the world. Combining technology, chemistry and ingenuity to make high performance wood products that are extremely durable and stable, opening new opportunities for the built environment. By doing so, we give the world a choice to build sustainably.
The primary focus of the business is the production and licensing of Accoya®️ solid wood and Tricoya®️ wood elements. The Accoya®️ manufacturing facility is in Arnhem, Netherlands, Accsys is also expanding in to other locations. The next plant will be at the Saltend site in Hull, UK, where the company is building and will soon be operating the world’s first Tricoya®️ production plant.
Tricoya UK (TUK) Ltd is a joint venture between Tricoya Technologies Ltd, Medite Europe DAC and BP Chemicals. Tricoya®️ Wood Elements are produced using Accsys Group’s proprietary technology for the acetylation of wood chips and particles for use in the fabrication of panel products such as medium density fibreboard and particle-board. These products demonstrate enhanced durability and dimensional stability which allow them to be used in a variety of applications that were once limited to tropical hardwood or man-made products.
